This set of colors is a good, basic bunch that are easy to use. Just print them, laminate them and start having fun. But please be careful when printing. Getting color to come out of your printer the same way it appears in a file or on your computer screen can be a bit tricky unless you have a high-end printer. Oranges and reds seem to come out of my printer in a weird way regardless of what I do. It’s probably just not a great printer.
When teaching this topic, I like to use objects like cars or books or fruits or whatever is around the room. It saves on printing and makes the colors more tangible for my kids. It’s also just fun to have something other than cards. As much as I love making images for my son and my students, nothing beats using real objects.
