Over time, I’ve made a number of illustrations of everyday objects which have come in handy when teaching kids. With my own son, vocabulary comes naturally because he’s constantly interacting with me and with the world around him and naming the things he sees and plays with. When he uses a pronoun, I try to use a noun so he’s hearing those terms more often. For non-native speakers it takes a bit of work to build up that vocabulary that they don’t get from regular exposure and daily use of the language.
