Writing materials are great practice with children. It probably goes without saying that writing is a core skill for language acquisition. At the same time, it’s easy to take it for granted. That’s especially true in adulthood and if you come from a background where reading and writing are valued. After all, not all of us are lucky enough to grow up with Sesame Street and Hooked on Phonics.
This simple skill can also be a real joy in life. It’s incredible watching my son learn to write as well as the children I teach. When I see them improving it gives me a measurable factor I can use to understand their development. I love that. The worksheets I’ll share here have helped my son and students. But I’m always looking to make them better.
I’m curious to know what kinds of materials you use or want to see added here. Feedback on how I can improve the materials that are here is always welcome. Just drop me a line: firstname.lastname@example.org
